The theological meaning behind Memento Mori is meant to work as a constant reminder of our mortality, and that every day, we must remember to live a life focused on our unity with God during this time on Earth, so that we may further work on our daily choices to grow in prayer, virtue, and holiness to meet the Lord in Heaven when we die.
